Custom White Oak Cabinets

For those who love the details

Permits, timelines, costs, the process and every question we are asked, one card at a time. If you would rather talk it through, a designer covers all of it at the appointment.

In short

How we work

White oak as we build it, in real oak veneer: Oak Bianco in neoFLAT and neoLINE, a bright soft-matt oak with the grain showing, and Oak Crema in Primo, built to order in Germany to your room's measurements and installed by our own team across Northern Virginia, Washington DC and Maryland.

The answer

Do you make custom white oak kitchen cabinets?

Yes. White-toned oak runs through our collections: neoFLAT and neoLINE in Oak Bianco, a bright soft-matt real oak veneer with the natural grain showing, and Primo in Oak Crema, Nolte's real oak veneer for 2027. Each is built to order in Germany to your room's measurements, designed in 3D at our Alexandria showroom and installed by our own team across Northern Virginia, Washington DC and Maryland.

Before you start

Tone

Oak Bianco and Oak Crema at the light end, diamond oak and Golden Oak in the middle, tobacco oak and blackened oak at the dark end.

Before you start

Grain

Flat fronts show the grain as a surface; neoLODGE grooves it so the light catches it.

Before you start

Pairing

Oak Bianco with cashmere or white soft-matt, Oak Crema with sandstone or greige, Oak Chocolate as the accent against cashmere lacquer.

Before you start

Solid, veneer or look

Solid-wood framed fronts come from Nolte's full program, in the showroom. The oak ranges here, the nolteneo line and Primo, are real oak veneer on a stable core. Manhattan and Neo LEAF, Golden Oak included, are a wood look. We say which is which.

Before you start

Countertops

Silestone, Dekton and Cambria are on the floor beside the oak, so the pairing is judged at full size.

Before you start

Built to order

Every front is made in Germany to your dimensions after the design is approved.

Oak, by tone

The oak fronts in our collections

Oak runs from bleached white to blackened across the ranges. This is each oak front, how it is made and the tone it comes in, as the manufacturer names it.

Every one is built to order in Germany to your room's measurements, and the oak fronts are on the Alexandria showroom floor and in the catalogs to compare under real light.

How the project runs

01Consultation

We review your room, your storage, your architecture and your budget at the Alexandria showroom, in a private design appointment, complimentary, with no time limit, and agree what the cabinetry has to do.

How the project runs

023D Cabinet Design

Layout, elevations, proportions and finishes come back as photorealistic 3D, so you approve the cabinetry on screen before anything is committed.

How the project runs

03Specification and Quote

Every carcase, front, countertop, handle and internal system is itemized, so you can see exactly what you are paying for and adjust before release.

How the project runs

04Built to Order in Germany

The approved specification goes into production in Germany, made to your dimensions, with a delivery date you can plan the rest of the project around.

How the project runs

05Measurement and Fit

The same team that designed the cabinetry checks the site and installs it, so nothing is lost in a handoff between the drawing and the tools.

How the project runs

Timeline for a complete kitchen

From the day you sign, most kitchens take about five months: 2 to 4 weeks to settle the last details, then 16 weeks for production in Germany, shipping, installation and the tile work.

For cabinetry on its own, production and delivery typically run a few months from the point the design is approved and released. You receive a schedule once the design is final, and we plan the rest of the project around that date.

The cost

What custom white oak cabinets cost, and what moves the number

Cabinetry alone starts at $15,000 for a small kitchen, $35,000 for a medium kitchen and $55,000 for a large one. These figures are for custom cabinetry only. The final price depends on kitchen size, cabinet configuration, materials, internal storage and selected details. Countertops, appliances, construction and installation are priced separately unless included in the proposal.

What moves the number

The size of the kitchen

The starting tiers are $15,000 for a small kitchen, $35,000 for a medium kitchen and $55,000 for a large one. The number of carcases is the first thing that moves the price.

What moves the number

Fronts

Soft-matt lacquer, solid and veneered real wood, metal-look and mirror-glass fronts sit at different points in the range, and every one is on the showroom floor to compare.

What moves the number

Interiors

Inner drawers, pull-outs, dividers and pantry systems are itemized one by one, so you can see what each adds.

What moves the number

Hardware

Handles, or handleless fronts with a grip channel, and the hinge and drawer systems behind them.

What moves the number

Installation

Installation by our own team is its own line in the proposal, next to the cabinetry. If you have your own contractor, we can supply the cabinetry alone.

What moves the number

A complete remodel

In 2026 our completed kitchen projects ran from $42,000 to $190,000 and up, with most between $90,000 and $145,000. Those are total installed values, not cabinetry prices.

Directions to the showroom

Asked often

What makes kitchen cabinets truly custom?

Custom means the cabinetry is planned and manufactured for your room rather than assembled from stock sizes. Carcase widths, heights, and depths are set to your walls and ceilings, interiors are planned around what you actually store, and the fronts, finishes, and hardware are specified rather than picked from a short menu. Nothing is trimmed with filler panels to cover a gap.

Asked often

Where are your cabinets made?

Our cabinetry is manufactured in Germany and built to order for each project. German production gives you tighter tolerances, better hinge and drawer engineering, and finishes that hold their color and texture through daily use. Some of the design directions we work in are Italian inspired, but the cabinetry itself is made in Germany.

Asked often

Can custom cabinetry match my home's architectural style?

Yes. We work across handleless minimalism, grooved real-wood fronts, metal and glass surfaces, and warmer transitional directions. The starting point is your home, not a catalog, so the cabinetry is specified to sit correctly with your existing architecture, trim, and floors.

Asked often

Can I see and compare the actual cabinets before I order?

Yes, and we strongly recommend it. Our Alexandria showroom holds full-size cabinet displays, so you can open drawers, test soft-close hardware, compare matte lacquer against real wood grain and metal, and see how finishes read under real light. Photos flatten the differences that matter most.

Asked often

Which cabinet brands do you carry?

Our kitchen cabinetry is Nolte, built to order in Germany. We do not sell stock or semi-custom brands, so if you are comparing KraftMaid, Fabuwood or Forevermark, expect a different product and a different price: cabinetry here starts at $15,000.

Asked often

How much do custom kitchen cabinets cost in Northern Virginia?

As a planning guide, cabinetry for a smaller kitchen starts around $15,000, a medium kitchen around $35,000, and a larger kitchen around $55,000. These are cabinetry starting points, not the cost of a complete renovation. Countertops, appliances, and construction work are quoted separately so you can see what each part of the project costs.
