Kitchen Remodeling Kensington MD

Kitchen remodeling in Kensington, Maryland as we deliver it: the kitchen designed in 3D at our Alexandria showroom, around the Beltway to Connecticut Avenue, German cabinetry built to order to your room, the permit filed with Montgomery County's Department of Permitting Services when walls or services change, and construction and installation by our own team, with the nearest completed kitchens on the projects page.

Yes. From the showroom, off I-395 at Edsall Road, Kensington is around the Beltway to Connecticut Avenue, or up Connecticut Avenue through Chevy Chase; Garrett Park and Wheaton are the same drive.

Montgomery County's Department of Permitting Services issues the permit when walls, plumbing or electrical work change. Inside the Town of Kensington the Town adds its own sign-off on anything that changes the outside of the house, and in the historic district that change also needs a Historic Area Work Permit from the county's Historic Preservation Commission.

For the consultation and the design, yes: the full-size displays and the material wall are there, and the finishes are decided in front of them. Measuring, delivery and installation happen at your home.

Victorian and early twentieth-century houses in the town's historic district with small original kitchens, and 1950s ramblers and Cape Cods in Rock Creek Hills and Kensington Heights, many extended once already at the back. Because the outside of a historic house is reviewed, the new kitchen is usually drawn inside the rooms the house already has.

A private design appointment at the Alexandria showroom, complimentary, with no time limit. We review your kitchen, what you want to change and your budget.

We measure the room, the services and the clearances on site.

Layout, cabinetry, countertops and finishes come back in 3D, so you approve the kitchen on screen.

Cabinetry, surfaces, appliances, construction and installation are itemized, so you can see what you are paying for and what moves the number.

The approved specification is ordered. Where walls, plumbing or electrical work change, we handle the permits, and our own team builds and installs the kitchen.

In 2026 our completed kitchen projects ran from $42,000 to $190,000 and up, with most between $90,000 and $145,000. Those are total installed values, not cabinetry prices. The same itemized proposal applies in Kensington, Maryland: cabinetry, surfaces, appliances, construction and installation, each its own line.

Cabinetry alone starts at $15,000 for a small kitchen, $35,000 for a medium kitchen and $55,000 for a large one. The number of carcases is the first thing that moves the price.

Opening the plan adds structural work, electrical and plumbing relocation and a permit. Keeping the layout removes most of that.

Countertops in Silestone, Dekton or Cambria, Porcelanosa tile, lighting and hardware are selected together with the cabinetry, and each choice is itemized.

Handleless flat fronts, grooved real wood, metal-look and glass fronts, soft-matt lacquer, and the interior storage planned around what you keep in the kitchen.

Placed in the drawing so clearances and extraction are right. Priced separately unless the proposal includes them.

Installation by our own team is its own line in the proposal, next to the cabinetry and the surfaces.
