In short

How we work

Luxury kitchen design as we practice it: solid wood, real wood veneer, metal-look, glass and slate-look fronts, countertops in Silestone, Dekton or Cambria, floor-to-ceiling runs built to the room and lighting planned into the cabinetry, drawn in 3D at our Alexandria showroom.

The answer

What makes a kitchen design luxury?

Luxury kitchen design is decided in the materials and the fit: solid wood, real wood veneer, metal-look, glass and slate-look fronts, countertops in Silestone, Dekton or Cambria, floor-to-ceiling runs built to the room, and lighting planned into the cabinetry. Aksesuar Design draws it in 3D at the Alexandria showroom, builds it to order in Germany and installs it with its own team. In 2026 our completed kitchen projects ran from $42,000 to $190,000 and up, with most between $90,000 and $145,000.

Design decisions

What a luxury kitchen design decides

Luxury is decided in the drawing, long before the installation. These are the decisions, and how each one is made here.

The design is settled on screen before anything is released, because the cabinetry is built to order and cannot be returned.

Design decisions

Layout

Island, peninsula, galley, open plan.

By clearances and how the room is used, shown in 3D in your own room before anything is ordered.

Design decisions

Tall units

Floor to ceiling, or not.

Runs to the ceiling with a ceiling filler panel in the front finish.

Design decisions

Materials

The fronts.

Solid wood, real wood veneer, metal-look and slate-look fronts, glass and lacquer, compared at full size on the showroom floor.

Design decisions

Countertops

The surface and its edge.

Silestone, Dekton or Cambria, judged beside the cabinetry rather than from a sample chip.

Design decisions

Light

Where it comes from.

Lit glass cabinets, lit grip rails and lit plinths, planned into the cabinetry.

Design decisions

Appliances

Which, and where.

Placed in the drawing so clearances and extraction are resolved before production.

05Build and Installation

The approved specification is ordered. Where walls, plumbing or electrical work change, we handle the permits, and our own team builds and installs the kitchen.

The cost

What our completed kitchen projects cost

In 2026 our completed kitchen projects ran from $42,000 to $190,000 and up, with most between $90,000 and $145,000. Those are total installed values, not cabinetry prices; cabinetry alone starts at $15,000 for a small kitchen, $35,000 for a medium kitchen and $55,000 for a large one.

What moves the number

The size of the kitchen

Cabinetry alone starts at $15,000 for a small kitchen, $35,000 for a medium kitchen and $55,000 for a large one. The number of carcases is the first thing that moves the price.

What moves the number

Whether walls and services move

Opening the plan adds structural work, electrical and plumbing relocation and a permit. Keeping the layout removes most of that.

What moves the number

Surfaces

Countertops in Silestone, Dekton or Cambria, Porcelanosa tile, lighting and hardware are selected together with the cabinetry, and each choice is itemized.

What moves the number

Fronts and interiors

Handleless flat fronts, grooved real wood, metal-look and glass fronts, soft-matt lacquer, and the interior storage planned around what you keep in the kitchen.

What moves the number

Appliances

Placed in the drawing so clearances and extraction are right. Priced separately unless the proposal includes them.

What moves the number

Installation

Installation by our own team is its own line in the proposal, next to the cabinetry and the surfaces.

Directions to the showroom

Asked often

What sets a luxury kitchen showroom apart from a standard kitchen retailer?

The difference is primarily in what you can't see at a standard retailer: construction quality, hardware engineering, and material consistency over time. A luxury kitchen showroom like Aksesuar Design carries European-manufactured cabinetry built to tolerances that mass-market products don't reach, soft-close systems you can test on the floor, precision-fitted carcasses, and finishes you can compare in person. You're also working with a designer, not a salesperson, which changes the entire conversation.

Asked often

What is the design consultation?

A complimentary session with a designer at the Alexandria showroom. There is no time limit, and you leave with a direction for the kitchen.

Asked often

How much does a kitchen remodel cost in Northern Virginia?

In 2026 our completed kitchen projects ran from $42,000 to $190,000 and up, with most between $90,000 and $145,000. Those are total installed values, not cabinetry prices; cabinetry alone starts at $15,000. Every project is itemized, so you can see what each part costs and what moves the number.

Asked often

How long does a kitchen remodel take?

From the day you sign, most kitchens take about five months: 2 to 4 weeks to settle the last details, then 16 weeks for production in Germany, shipping, installation and the tile work. Demolition waits until about a month before the cabinetry arrives, so you keep your kitchen while the new one is being built.

Asked often

Do you specialize in European cabinets?

Yes. Our kitchen cabinetry is German and built to order. Design directions can be Italian-inspired, but the cabinetry itself is made in Germany.

Asked often

Can I see and compare the actual cabinets before I order?

Yes, and we strongly recommend it. Our Alexandria showroom holds full-size cabinet displays, so you can open drawers, test soft-close hardware, compare matte lacquer against real wood grain and metal, and see how finishes read under real light. Photos flatten the differences that matter most.
